As you know in our program administration, we are committed to implement a plan for the fiber-optic infrastructure in our town.
We put on paper with an ad hoc decision, but above all we are doing so in small steps, convinced that this goal is necessary for a long-term vision. Every time we intervene, directly or indirectly on the airbase road, to build systems sewerage or other services, we are concerned about putting the tritubo and manholes every 50, 100 meters. The
tritubo is made up of three high-density polyethylene pipes of 5 cm in diameter used for telecommunications networks. In this way we have achieved, in conjunction with the work of SMAT Via Magenta Piazza Beccaria and the first part of this infrastructure. The medium-term objective is to provide the country with an information network in order to connect the different locations (school, sports, institutional) and to implement video surveillance services at low costs. It would be much more interesting than at national level and not just depending on the sensitivity of the various administrations local predisponesse is a national plan for broadband, for connectivity to companies and all citizens as a means of access to information, about democracy. I'll be back to update you on the next steps on this issue, I leave you an interesting editorial on the issue of Wired last November.
endorse every word.
"In the place where we go we do not need roads, or bridges over the Straits, but the information superhighway. In a very large web that connects all of Italy, making a new unit after 150 years: the North and South, rich and poor, young and old people. Those who know what the Internet and those who have not yet understood.
one network to reallocate opportunities and hopes, by linking projects and knowledge. Instead of rewarding the most talented of the most recommended. Creating wealth. What today seems to have disappeared, not only from our wallets, but our dreams. The rest of the world runs and in this place called the future there is already going with conviction.
Blessed are the children born in Singapore or Seoul, but also in Finland, because their horizons are wider. In a few years will struggle less to get a job because it will create them to network with others and be comfortable in a big planet online. But we are still, still. Indifferent. At best, waiting for someone presents what in other countries is already a fundamental right. But the time has come to take it, this thing.
Alarm, Italy! Let the Web do not expect the government that more has not been able to spend a few million to bring a minimum connection to those who today do not even have that: almost six million people every day are excluded for no real reason. And do not even expect that the Parliament was unable to devote one session to try to understand why four out of ten Italians could use the Internet and do not.
digital Ignorance? If so it seems to me a rare case of certain correspondence between elected and their voters. A national plan for broadband will never be there. Lacks culture, lacks interest. Or maybe the network frightens those in power. Have you ever seen that would serve as a springboard to an Italian Obama? Also in this never-ending economic crisis, there is instead the money to do what you should do immediately: bring fiber to everyone's home. We need 16 billion. Many? It depends. Five years autoblu not miss it if there were no tomorrow. Or a flight of fighter-bombers, or the infamous bridge.
is a matter of choice, priority. But not only. Just go to the head of the Cassa, Franco Bassanini. We will explain why money is not a problema se si parla di Internet.
Some things are done today because tomorrow we will grow. Point.
So who's next? To us, that is, mayors, presidents of the provinces and regions, chambers of commerce, industry associations. And even the unions: who represents workers, temporary workers and retirees say, take back the advertising slogan "Internet for all" for the next event, if you read it speaks well of development work and non-tariffs for mobile phones. Let us take the net, then. If you can not make a plan for Italy, which will make a plan for each region. Call it digital federalism: it depends on us. Lombardy is already gone, and so the Trentino, we hope others will follow soon. We follow them every day, month after month. We will cheer for all those who will do something concrete to build a piece of the future.
Now, they are our heroes
